Dr. Scumpia, a co-inventor of Tempo’s MAP technology, is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a member of the American Society of Dermatopathology and Society of Investigative Dermatology, and a Ph.D. immunologist. He currently practices clinical dermatology and dermatopathology at both UCLA health System and the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs. Dr. Scumpia also runs an NIH-funded research program as a clinical professor in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Scumpia has received numerous grants from the American Skin Cancer Association, the Dermatology Foundation, and the NIH. He has published 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts, including manuscripts in the prestigious journals Nature Materials and Nature Cell Biology.
